Mardis Gras Gala 2010 for the Lupus Foundation

The Lupus Foundation of America held their 4th annual Mardi Gras Gala last Saturday night at the Extravaganza Depot.  WOW!  What a PARTY to benefit a worthy cause!!  To see more pictures, go to www.whitneygrayphotography.com and click on GALLERIES.  Then click on the “Lupus Foundation Mardi Gras Gala” gallery.

Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that can affect various parts of the body, especially the skin, joints, blood, and kidneys.  No one knows what causes lupus and it can be difficult to diagnose.  In the US, it is estimated that at least 1.5 million people have it.  Lupus can be mild or serious, but should always be treated by a doctor.  (Lupus Foundation)

The band, Hot Sauce, rocked the house and had everyone dancing all night!  PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC, WHITE BOYS!! :)

Bustin’ a move…

Take a quick break from all of this color with a few black and white shots of my friend and famous keyboard player, Jason Atkins…

And a guest drummer sat in on a few tunes~ he rocked the house!

The silent auction

There was a tableau vivant~ a motionless theater performance similar to mime.  Very cool!

It was a great night for a great cause!

Christine John-Fuller - Whitney – Thank you for so magically capturing our evening & supporting the 45,000 people in North Carolina that are living with lupus. Your generosity is changing lives.
